Lawrence Townie Show with Ashley Stevenson
Ever since Slim came in 2023, people have been asking when she will be back. This is an early matinee for just for Lawrence Summer Townies. Suzannah will open the show at 5:15 p.m. with a solo set, and she will be followed by Cheery. Then, Ashley “Slim” Stevenson will play a set.
Stevenson first went viral online after busking the Chicago subway. Her unique and powerful renditions of songs, including “Landslide,” “Dream On,” and “Wild Horses,” as well as her own original songs brought her local and international attention, leading to a performance for TedX Chicago in 2018.

This will be a very special early show featuring Ashley “Slim” Stevenson and an opening solo sets by Suzannah Johannes and Gracie Hughes and Lucas David.

ABOUT THE FILM
Kirk Rundstrom is the electric, hell-raising singer/guitarist of the band Split Lip Rayfield, and he’s been given two months to live. Set across America’s heartland, this moving documentary captures the rowdy, heart-wrenching, and ultimately joyous performances of Kirk Rundstrom’s “Final Tour” where each show was played as it would be the last.
